JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to assist in data entry of financial transactions, reconciliation of bank and credit card statements, and general support for Accounts Payable/Receivable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Entry:

  • Assist in accurately inputting financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and expenses, into Quickbooks.
  • Maintain filing financial documents for easy retrieval.

Reconciliation:

  • Support the reconciliation of bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Coordinator to resolve any discrepancies and maintain clean financial records.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Assist with processing vendor invoices, verifying billing accuracy, and preparing payments.
  • Help manage customer invoices, track receivables, and follow up on outstanding payments as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
  • Proficiency in using Quickbooks and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Problem-solving skills to assist in reconciliations and discrepancy resolution
  • Discretion and respect for handling confidential financial information

WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE:

  • Becoming a trusted associate working closely with Cassel’s Accounting Coordinator to learn Cassel’s bookkeeping process
  • Consistent follow-through and reliability for small tasks and occasional project support when required
  • Taking command of existing bookkeeping responsibilities thus allowing existing personnel and resources to spend time further developing more strategic initiatives at Cassel

This position is part-time and applicants must be available to work daytime hours at either our Manheim or Smoketown locations with remote work opportunities once onboarded and trained. 

Job Type: Part-Time

Salary: $16.00-$22.00 per hour
